MANILA, Philippines - Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle on Wednesday celebrated mass at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Makati ahead of a crucial vote on the Reproductive Health bill.

Tagle earlier urged Catholics to join a 12-hour prayer vigil to convince lawmakers not to approve the controversial measure. The Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patroness of the unborn, sick, aging and disabled.

Pro-RH lawmakers are confident they have the numbers to pass the measure if it is put to a vote today.
