Incoming PNP chief hits womanizing cops
MANILA, Philippines - Incoming Philippine National Police chief Alan Purisima believes policemen should have the moral ascendancy to do their work as law enforcers.
Purisima said policemen who are accused of womanizing could face administrative or criminal charges and may even be suspended or dismissed.
He said PNP chaplains will guide police officers on how to be good husbands and fathers.
The incoming PNP chief also said policemen should be healthy and fit for the job.
Purisima admitted he used to weigh 230 lbs but has cut down his weight to 192 lbs.
He said the public like seeing policemen who are not overweight and are light on their feet.
"People know he can work well because he is healthy," he said.
