On cops
Gone were the days that most cops in manila has to have a degree to be in the force. Either a criminology degree or a law degree or both. Nowadays, if you happened to be a barangay tanod and knew of someone at city hall, you will definitely have a chance to be a cop. I hoped that this bastard doesn't belong to the western police district or he could be in trouble. Just like i said there were plenty of them around. Cops for hire, cops who rent their service pistol to criminal elements in exchange for money, cops who will grease someone for money, cops who escorts drug smugglers out of customs and cops who acts as mules for drug lords. You name it, we got it in manila.

Speaking of which, perhaps the pnp should consider hiring professionals from other countries to teach future cops in manila on how to behave in public while maintaining professionalism in the police service. If this incident happened from where i live. He will get fired the same day he committed such act. Not another day more in the service. And someone was saying that he was drunk when he slapped the kid. Is this cop trying to justify his stupidity because he had a lot to drink that day? And why is he allowed to carry his firearm while off duty, and in civilian clothes.

A cop who mishandled a seventeen year old kid has been charged "the child abuse law" under the revised penal code. Shouldn't it be assault of a minor. Anyways, that was beside the point. Will he be going back to his job again or will he get fired for his action? This was just the tip of the iceberg. There were thousands of this people in law enforcement in the philippines that will put jesse james to shame.
