MANILA, Philippines - Police have arrested a notorious thief who stole laptops from student dormitories and sold them for P5,000 each.

Police said they arrested suspect Shiela Dizon after she was caught on CCTV in another student dormitory run by nuns.

Previous CCTV footage showed Dizon would pose as a boarder and wait for her chance to enter a student dorm. It was only later that students would find that a laptop was stolen.

Dizon was arrested after a CCTV camera caught her at another dorm looking out for arriving boarders.

A check on her bag yielded one of the stolen laptops, several sets of keys and a screwdriver.

Dizon admitted to the crimes, and said she also stole 2 laptops at a businessman's home in Quezon City. The owner was able to retrieve one of the laptops from the suspect.

Dizon said she sold the laptops for P5,000 each at Claro M. Recto Avenue.
