Woman, baby trapped by floods
MANILA, Philippines - A woman seeks the help of radio dZMM after she, her 7-month-old baby, and other members of her family were trapped by rising floodwaters in Parañaque City Monday night.
Steph Tagala, who lives along UPS5 at Camella Homes 2 at the boundary of San Isidro and BF Homes, said they are now on the roof of their neighbor's house after they were forced to abandon their home.
She described the floods in their area as higher than a man.
She said their other neighbors have remained in the roof of their homes because of the floodwaters.
She urged local officials to help them.
Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte told ABS-CBNNews.com early Tuesday morning that she has relayed the information on the distress call to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
