Marikina Mayor Marides Fernando announced Wednesday that the river has returned to its normal level, leaving parts of the city covered with mud and debris. However, she assured the public that cleanup operations are underway.

Fernando also confirms 34 bodies were found in the Marikina area. In addition, there are 17 unidentified bodies. She advised kin of missing persons to check two funeral parlors (Ka Irog in Langka St along JP Rizal and Ka Andres along Katipunan Avenue in Concepcion).
