Three alleged robbers were arrested in a police checkpoint in Sampaloc, Manila on Tuesday evening.

Police said the suspects, identified as Virgilio Tamayo, Rodrigo Estueta and Mike Estueta, were on board a tricycle without proper registration plate.

A .45 caliber pistol was found from the suspects during the police inspection.

After checking their records, police said the apprehended suspects had been involved in previous crimes.

The suspects are facing illegal possession of firearms.
