A porter was shot dead in Tondo, Manila past midnight Wednesday.

Victim Edison Reales, 19, was shot in the chest using a shotgun in Parola area past midnight by a still unidentified suspect.

Reales' family believes the murder had something to do with the victim's previous involvement in illegal drugs.

MANILA – A porter died after he was gunned down along a small alley in Pier 18 Katuparan Street, Vitas in Tondo, Maynila early Sunday morning.

PO2 Danilo Fabiolas of the Smokey Mountain Police Community identified the victim as Roel Gamboa, 33.

Based on the investigation of the Manila Police District, Gamboa was already on his way to work when he was shot twice by a still-unidentified suspect.

Before the incident, residents of Pier 18 Katuparan Street said they heard Gamboa arguing with someone.

Police said Gamboa’s wife probably has an idea as to who shot her husband but she has yet to give a statement. – from a report by Dennis Datu, dzMM

MANILA - A man was killed after being shot by a still unidentified suspect in Barangay 101, Zone 8, Vista Katuparan in Tondo, Manila before dawn on Saturday.

The victim was identified as Christopher Barro alias Dugo, a porter at the pier.

Initial investigation showed that Barro was being chased by the suspect before he was killed at around 1 a.m.

Police said they are looking at dispute over illegal drug transactions as the motive behind the killing.

But according to a sibling of Barro, the victim has no known enemy.
