MANILA, Philippines -- Over 5,000 people are expected to attend two prayer rallies in Cebu City on Wednesday.
One prayer rally will be held by the administration's Liberal Party and led by acting Governor Agnes Magpale.
The other is by the camp of suspended Governor Gwen Garcia, and her supporters and partymates in the One Cebu Party.
Garcia's supporters will converge at Fuenta Osmena Circle at 3 p.m. for a special mass then march towards the provincial capitol where the suspended governor has been holed up for weeks now.
The two prayer rallies will be held a day before the Court of Appeals tackles Garcia's petition to stop her six-month suspension for alleged abuse of authority.
