A police officer and two others were arrested at a police checkpoint in Pila, Laguna for alleged robbery.

Police said PO2 Saturnino Balba, Ricardo Caballes and Mario Lube had been the subject of a surveillance operation due to their alleged robbery activities.

The suspects were arrested at an election gun ban checkpoint in Barangay Sta. Clara Sur.

Police recovered two .45 caliber pistols and a hand grenade from the suspects.
