MANILA, Philippines -- Kidnappers have released a one-year old Russian-Canadian boy and his babysitter who were abducted in Pagadian City.

The Ozamis City chief of police said the kidnap victims were found in a mall past 2 p.m. Friday.

Authorities are still determining whether money was paid in exchange for their freedom.

The kidnappers who spoke to the child's family had asked for a P50-million ransom.
