MANILA, Philippines (1st UPDATE) - Four members of a family were found massacred inside their house in Bulacan.
The victims were identified as rice miller Rodrigo Roque, 77; his daughter Christina Sta. Ana, 42; and grandchildren Corrine Joy Sta. Ana, 12, and Christian Sta. Ana, 10.
A relative, Ericson Roque, discovered the incident when he arrived around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday at the family residence at No. 13, St. Francis Village, Burol II in Balagtas, Bulacan.
Police said the suspects stabbed Roque nine times while his daughter sustained 22. Meanwhile, Sta. Ana’s daughter Joy had the most number of stab wounds at 45, and his son Christian had been stabbed 4 times.
There was no forced entry, boosting the possibility that the victims knew their killers.
