Several Bicolanos gathered in front of the house of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo in Naga City to pray his return.

Sympathizers joined the Robredo family in praying before Our Lady of Peñafrancia, the patroness of Bicol.

Jun Lavadia, a close friend who is now serving as the family's spokesman, said Robredo's wife, Atty. Maria Leonor Gerona-Robredo, and three children, Aika, Patricia and Jillian Therese, have chosen to stay home in Naga City while waiting for significant developments.

Lavadia said Robredo's family and friends are hoping for the possibility that the Cabinet secretary was swept to an island or was found by a fisherman.

A similar prayer vigil by government officials and other concerned people for Robredo is also being held at the La Salle Green Hills.
