MANILA, Philippines – Officials of New Bataan in Compostela Valley are set to open a mass grave for the bodies of victims of Typhoon Pablo (international codename Bopha).

A report by ABS-CBN correspondent Ron Gagalac said more bodies have been found near a church and evacuation center in the town.

He said officials are set to identify the site for a mass grave after some residents complained of the stench produced by the rotting bodies.

Officials said a humanitarian crisis is gripping areas devastated by Typhoon Pablo as residents scrambled for food.
