Aid reaches Diwalwal mining families
Aid has finally reached the isolated town of Monkayo in Compostela Valley, where the gold-rush site of Mt. Diwalwal is located.
Monkayo was isolated after heavy rains and strong winds brought by typhoon Pablo battered the Mindanao region last week.
Some 30,000 families depending on small-scale mining in Monkayo for their livelihood were affected by the typhoon.
