Acting Cebu Governor Agnes Magpale has closed down the TV channel owned by the province.
A commotion occurred early Saturday morning when the uplink internet connection of Sugbo TV was terminated and the uplink booth was padlocked.
Supporters of suspended Governor Gwendolyn Garcia questioned why the TV station was ordered to cease operations.
Even Garcia's brother, Congressman Pablo John Garcia, asked why the crew of Sugbo TV were not even allowed to enter the office.
They now appeal to authorities to allow Sugbo TV resume its operations.
The closure of the TV station is among the first major orders of Magpale. -- Headlines, ANC, December 22, 2012
