MANILA, Philippines -- Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia had been staying at the provincial capitol for three days now in an act of defiance to the six-month suspension order from Malacañang.
Former Tarlac Governor and United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) senatorial bet Tingting Cojuangco, who is a close friend of Garcia, visited her in her office to show support.
"I'm sure there's a political point to all of these. Matagal na itong kaso, 'di ba? But anyway, we're here and UNA supports Gwen," she said.
Stanley Palisada reports.
