The New York Knicks snapped the San Antonio Spurs' 7-game winning run with a 100-83 victory at home.

Carmelo Anthony had 23 points and teammate Junior Smith added 20 off the bench for New York which bounced back from back-to-back losses by dominating the final period.

With the win, New York improved to 22-10, trailing only the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference.

The loss dropped the Spurs back to third place in the Western Conference, behind league-leading Oklahoma City and the LA Clippers. – ANC Dateline Philippines, Jan. 4, 2013
