Seau family sues NFL over effects of concussion
MANILA, Philippines – The family of former San Diego Chargers star Junior Seau, who killed himself last year, is suing the NFL over the effects of concussion to his being.
The 43-year-old Seau shot himself in the chest last year in the bedroom of his Oceanside, California home.
Seau’s camp claims his suicide resulted from brain disease caused by repeated hits to the head during his football career.
The wrongful death lawsuit also claims that the NFL concealed the risks of brain damage in the sport. -- Mornings @ ANC, January 24, 2013
