MANILA, Philippines – Real Madrid has officially presented its new , who will cover for injured goalkeeper and captain Iker Casillas.

Lopez, who came up through Madrid’s youth system, was swiftly signed on Friday since Casillas will be out for up to 12 weeks following surgery on his left hand.

Lopez, who joined Sevilla last season, will be valued for his Champions League and international experience, having been a member of the Spain squad on a number of occasions.
