Pacquiao still rusty in Baguio training
MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao had to shake off quite a bit of ring rust in his first day of training camp in Baguio City for his June 9 bout against Timothy Bradley Jr.
One of his coaches, Buboy Fernandez, admitted that Pacquiao got a little winded and experienced shortness of breath.
“Ganun talagay ‘yun kapag umpisa, pero bukas okay na ‘yan,” Fernandez said.
Pacquiao said he is focused on his preparations to defend his World Boxing Organization welterweight championship against the undefeated Bradley.
Pacquiao and his team will be staying in Baguio for three weeks. Mornings @ ANC, April 19, 2012.
