MANILA, Philippines – Rafael Nadal is back on the winning trail after his suprising defeat at the Madrid Open, while Roger Federer took only 70 minutes to defeat his foe in the Rome Masters.
Second-seeded Nadal looked delighted to be back on the red clay as he beat German Florian Mayer, wrapping up the match in 81 minutes.
Meanwhile, Federer defeated Argentine Carlos Berlocq when he opened his Rome Masters campaign.
