Pacquiao hit over anti-gay sentiments
MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxing champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao denied condemning homosexual when he made a comment against same-sex marriage.
Pacquiao also denied quoting a Bible verse, which talked of putting homosexuals to death.
Meanwhile, US-based Filipino writer Granville Ampong has owned up to the confusion created by his online article where Pacquiao declared his objection to same sex marriage.
Ampong clarified that Pacquiao did not quote the Bible verse, nor did he mention it during the interview.
Ampong, who blamed biased writers for twisting his column, has apologized to the reading public and to the Filipino boxing superstar. Headstart, May 17, 2012
