Murray douses fiery Verdasco to reach Paris quarters
Andy Murray defeats a fiery Fernando Verdasco to reach the French Open quarterfinals.
Tempers flared in the seventh game of the third set after Verdasco's serve was called out.
As he was heading back to the chair for the change of ends, Verdasco blasted at the umpire and broke back.
But seventh seed Murray, who found his rhythm in the fast-paced match prevailed in a tiebreak.
Murray, still without a coach since splitting from Ivan Lendl in March, will play French showman Gayel Monfis for a chance to reach the semi-finals at the clay grand slam for the first time since 2011. – ANC Top Story, June 3, 2014
