Pacquiao distributes relief goods in Sarangani
MANILA, Philippines – Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao visited flood affected areas in Sarangani to give away relief goods to the residents.
Pacquiao, who last week lost his world title bout against Timothy Bradley, cut short his vacation with his family in the United States to check on his constituents.
He said there are around 5,000 families in Sarangani affected by floods brought about by Typhoon “Butchoy,” which hit the area last week.
Pacquiao will also use part of his purse money from his recent fight to purchase parcels of land which will then be donated to the flood victims.
-- Top Story, ANC, June 18, 2012.
