MANILA, Philippines – Briton Mark Cavendish snatched his 21st Tour de France stage win as he prevailed in  bunch sprint at the end of a 207.5-kilometer ride from Vise.

The Team Sky rider, who was on his own in the finale, beat German Andre Graipel of the Lotto-Belisol team to victory in the race’s second stage.

Australian Matthew Goss came home third for The Orica Green Edge team.

Meanwhile, Swiss Fabian Cancellara of the Radioshack Nissan team retained the over-all leader’s yellow jersey. -- Mornings @ ANC, July 3, 2012.
