MANILA, Philippines - Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao and his rival, Mexico's Juan Manuel Marquez, are both confident of victory as they gear up for their trilogy bout on November 12 in Las Vegas
Pacquiao and Marquez have met twice before: first in 2004, when they battled to a draw, and again in 2008, when Pacquiao won via a close split decision.
This time, Pacquiao, the current pound-for-pound king of boxing, is confident that he has improved significantly since their last meeting, while Marquez remains convinced that his counterpunching style will provide a challenge for Pacquiao.
Pacquiao and Marquez will face each other at a 144-pound weight limit. At stake in the bout is Pacquiao's World Boxing Organization welterweight title. Dateline, ANC, November 10, 2011.
