Armstrong resigns from Livestrong charity
MANILA, Philippines – Lance Armstrong has stepped down as a board member of Livestrong, the cancer-support charity he founded in 1997.
Livestrong spokeswoman Katherin McLane said Armstrong “remains the inspiration” for the charity and its largest donor, having contributed $7 million.
She said Armstrong will remain involved with Livestrong, but no longer as a board member.
Armstrong, a survivor of testicular cancer, has already stepped down as Livestrong chairman. -- Mornings @ ANC, November 13, 2012
