FIFA concerned about security in Brazil
MANILA, Philippines – FIFA reports security is one of the top concerns as Brazil prepares to host the Confederations Cup in 2013 and the World Cup the following year.
Despite the compliments made about Brazil’s business capital, FIFA officials did not hide their concerns regarding a wave of violence currently plaguing Sao Paulo.
Media reports say 571 people were murdered in Sao Paolo state in the month of October alone.
But the federal government has promised aid to Sao Paulo and other cities involved in sporting events to guarantee security. -- Mornings @ANC, November 29, 2012
