Benitez feels the heat as Chelsea slide continues
MANILA, Philippines – The new Chelsea boss sees his side slump after a 3-1 defeat at West Ham United.
Interim manager Rafael Benitez was on course for his first victory since taking over from Roberto Di Matteo when Juan Mate gave Chelsea a deserved half time lead.
But three West Ham goals after the break increased the pressure on the Spaniard.
Benitez has hardly made an impact since replacing Di Matteo as draws to Manchester City and Fulham did not show Benitez’s famed organizational skills.
But Benitez assured fans that Chelsea’s title chances are still alive. ANC, December 2, 2012
