The Philippine Azkals went back to the pitch to practice for their upcoming Suzuki Cup semifinal match against the Singapore Lions.
The Azkals held their practice sessions at the Ateneo Football Field then at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, which will host the match slated for Saturday.
Although the Philippines has beaten Singapore in their last two friendly matches, Azkals coach Hans Michael Wiess advised his players not to get too complacent.
"It's best we do not even think about those wins so we do not get comfortable. We are gonna face them 0-0 from scratch and we have to work hard to deserve a win,” said Weiss.
The Lions are also coming off a morale boosting 4-3 win against Laos in the Suzuki Cup group stage.
The Lions are set to arrive tomorrow at 2 p.m.
After the Azkals' home game, the two teams will travel to Singapore for the second match scheduled for next Wednesday. – ANC Top Story, Dec. 5, 2012
