Celtics ruin Nets' Christmas; Lakers beat Knicks
MANILA, Philippines – The Boston Celtics routed the Brooklyn Nets at home by 17 points to open the Christmas Day slate of games in the NBA.
Rajon Rondo scored a game-high 19 points, leading the visiting Boston Celtics to a 93-76 victory. He added six rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Celtics, who arrived at the Barclays Center on a five-game road skid.
In another Christmas Day game, Kobe Bryant engineered a second-half comeback to help the Los Angeles Lakers beat the New York Knicks, 100-94.
Bryant registered 34 points in his NBA-record 15th Christmas Day game, the ninth straight game where he topped 30 or more points.
Teammate Metta World Peace added 20 points and seven rebounds, while Steve Nash had 16 points, 11 assists and six rebounds. -- Mornings @ ANC, December 26, 2012.
