MANILA - Leading human resource solutions firm ExcelAsia has ramped up its free call center training program this year by accommodating more trainees every month, it said in a recent statement.
ExcelAsia said it will now accept 1,500 call center trainees each month from 400 to 500 students in 2005. At present, the company said it has 34 trainers based in the cities of Alabang, Bacolod, Cebu, and Makati.
According to ExcelAsia Senior Training Manager Jamie Wilson, trainers handle 20 to 25 students for a 12.5-day training cycle, with each of them tasked to reinforce the company's "English Only" policy and to enhance students' communication skills.
"Professionalism is also important, as most of our students have never held a regular job, so we teach them how to be professionals at all times," Wilson said.
ExcelAsia said it has continued to forge a strong partnership with President Arroyo's Training for Work Scholarship Program, enabling the company to facilitate a call center training program for free.
Early this year, ExcelAsia opened a recruitment and training site in Eastwood City Cyberpark in Libis, Quezon City. About 60 percent of companies in the said area are from the business process outsourcing and IT-related industries.
